As an engineer at Optic Power, you will work with our team to create products that our clients love. You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects and will have a good blend of fun and interesting technical challenges to solve.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain applications with Node.
Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
Estimation at the task level of software development.
Produce clean, efficient code.
Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
Review and debug code.
Perform reviews and Pull Requests on team members' code.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
Working with Project Managers on project management tools.
Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
Perform validation and verification testing.
Document development phases and monitor systems.
Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Additional requirements (other than skills)
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
Extensive experience in software development, scripting, and project management.
Three or more years of Node.
Experience in at least one Backend MVC Framework (Ruby on Rails, Django, Phoenix).
BS/BA in Computer Science or a related degree is a plus.
English communication skills are required.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude.
