Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Student Health Services (SHS), and taking work direction from the Functional Business Analyst (FBA), the Health Information Consultant (HIC) is an enterprise system & electronic health records (EHR) system specialist supporting the business processes and functional needs of SHS and Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) users. The incumbent supports the configuration, regular use, and data structures of the EHR system. Position Information
Functional Analysis
Serve as the subject matter expert on matters related to EHR system capabilities. Support the EHR system activities and business processes of SHS and CAPS to ensure data integrity is maintained. Support the provision and de-provision of EHR system users and roles. Help maintain EHR system application interfaces. Perform systems operations checks related to EHR applications and interfaces. Minimum Qualifications
To enter this classification, a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technical information systems and application program packages is a prerequisite. Foundation knowledge and skills for the Information Technology Consultant, depending on the nature of the position assignment, may include working knowledge of common software application packages, equipment platforms, reference database systems and sources, and training methods and a basic understanding of networks, data communication, and multimedia systems. configuring and supporting an EHR system and associated applications and interfaces), or advanced training or experience with database and end user support.
