Role Overview
At On Deck, we don't believe in gate-keeping or exclusivity. Instead, we prioritize access. The talent and drive to build great startups and careers in technology is broadly distributed across the world. The resources and networks to cultivate it, though, are not. That's why we created our Access Fund. We want high potential, emerging leaders to join the On Deck ecosystem despite the financial barriers too often blocking their path to opportunity.
As the Operations Lead for the Access Fund, you'll be leading at the intersection of managing revenue operations for all donations and managing the process to award scholarship funding to On Deck Fellows. In Q1 of 2021, we awarded nearly 350 scholarships and that number will grow as our programs scale. The infrastructure supporting the Access Fund is operational, and now it's in need of a skilled operator to steward current processes while driving significant improvement and initiating new features. You will engage with every aspect of the Access Fund, working with the Access Fund Partner as well as the broader Partnerships, Candidates, and Finance teams. An operator at your core: a detail-oriented and organized project manager – able to juggle many priorities while not dropping any balls.
Excited about making independent contributions: able and excited to flip between developing high-level strategy and getting in the weeds to execute and grind out sometimes repetitive tasks.
Eager to operate proactively and creating your own opportunities under ambiguous circumstances.
What will you do:
Track, reconcile, and prepare quarterly financial reports for Access Fund donations and for Impact Foundation Forgivable Loan Installments.
Track, analyze, and report scholarship award data by total, by program, by candidate background, and by long-term impact.
Manage scholarship eligibility review and award process, design and implement improvements, coordinate with program teams to execute scholarship workflow.
Review, score, and determine award amounts for scholarship applications.
Design and execute Access Fund donor stewardship campaigns, including gratitude for donations, impact and progress updates, and the development of an annual report.
Assist in the design and execution of On Deck community solicitation campaigns, including in-real-life Access Fund events in partnership with On Deck Experience team.
Source and coordinate regular refresh of Access Fund stories of impact for landing page, grant proposals/reports, and solicitation campaigns.
Prepare materials to be used in applications and reports for philanthropic support of the Access Fund

Location
Our team works remotely,and we are excited about candidates globally. Please note that our team works on GMT-7 PST-friendly hours, so your location will affect your work hours, which may be difficult from Europe or Asia.
