Description of the job
You will be part of the flight control systems (FBW & high lift) integration engineering team. This team is responsible to develop, integrate and support different projects related to the FBW and high lift systems.
In your role, you will:
Perform technical integration for Flight control systems provided by suppliers in the A220 aircraft
Manage system design changes on the aircraft in accordance with the change management system
Conduct technical investigations, analyze and develop simple solutions
Participate in the testing activities on the Simulation platform and Integrated Systems Test Certification Rig (Iron Bird). Demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-2yqKDU2AU.Prepare and conduct the test and analyze test results
Participate to maintain the interface defined and agreed with the other aircraft systems
Prepare and review technical reports like technical requirements including requirements validation and verification. Simulation may be required for requirements validation completeness.
Review and approve the suppliers design through participation in the supplier's development, design, manufacture, integration, and verification process;
Coordinate with various Integrated Product Teams/Suppliers, work with all departments for design, validation and verification, testing and certification, support to certification authorities
Participate in troubleshooting activities involving the Hydro-Mech and/or Flight Controls systems with a group member on the A220 aircraft production line.
Support Customer Support for In-service events: investigation (root cause analysis and corrective action); troubleshooting procedure; disposition
Lead technical aspects of the Continuing Airworthiness emerging issues related to the A220 Flight control Systems, under your responsibility.
As our ideal candidate,
You are proactive and have an interest in aerospace Industry and systems integration
You hold a University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent in a recognized University
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace
You have a good knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test and certification of Flight control systems and/or its components
You have a good knowledge of RTCA documents DO-160 and DO-178
You are familiar with part FAR25 / 525 certification process and with the ARP4754 standard
You are Design Approval Designee (DAD) in mechanical systems (considered as an asset)
You have strong communication skills in French and English (written and spoken)
You have good organizational & planning skills
You have experience in simulation with Matlab software
You have good judgment
You are a team player, but you are also able to work individually. You can deliver quality even under challenging environment.
