Position: Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) is to be based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He/She provides coordination support for secondary and tertiary violence prevention technical activities as well as operational and administrative support. This position provides technical and administrative oversight to the successful implementation of PM. The DCOP will coordinate when necessary with the Senior Technical Advisor who will provide technical leadership related to the family systems based interventions. He/She serves as a lead in the absence of the Chief of Party (COP).
In the absence of the COP, the DCOP serves as a coordinating liaison with implementing partners, and other key stakeholders. The DCOP will have a demonstrated ability to work in complex urban environments and manage diverse teams. He/She will have ample direct practice experience working with families with children at a secondary and tertiary level of risk.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated skills in management, both direct and remote, of a large, diverse staff working in a difficult environment; this includes the ability to mentor, guide, and motivate staff
Demonstrated ability to work with at risk youth and other vulnerable groups
At least 8 years of work experience with increasing responsibility; with at least 4 years of which is in youth violence prevention and/or youth development.
Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs
Fluent in USAID's policies and procedures regarding financial management, financial reporting, procurement processes, systems, and grants management
Experience coordinating with USAID
Excellent speaking, writing and analytical skills
Excellent coordination, planning and organizational skills
Considerable experience liaising and coordinating with multiple stake holders
Flexible to work in a constantly changing work environment
English level IV (Fluent) ? Reading/Writing/Speaking
Spanish level IV (Fluent) ? Reading/Writing/Speaking
