Summary:
The Costing Coordinator provides direction for garment and process costing by overseeing breaking down garment construction to time studied operations and components usage. Works with product development and manufacturing/production teams as well as finance to tie costing back to the revenue of the organization.
Job Duties:
Supports costing aspect of RFI's and RFP's and work with Sales, Account Management, Engineering and Finance to ensure costing assumptions and conclusions are realistic and achievable.
Collaborates with Lean Engineering team to connect line set up to costing methodology and offer suggestions for balancing line including joining operations.
Offer suggestions to reduce cost to customer & product development team.
Drive and deliver fact-based costing using aligned margin, profit, GSD and other methodology
Support initiatives with customers connecting requests to feasibility in bulk production.
Responsible for generating production costs summary analysis and obtaining approve prior to submitting/uploading to customer.
Validate bulk production cost to development cost
Collaborates with the Product Development team to leverage PolyPM to support the costing process.
Recommend action and communicate issues that may hinder ability to achieve our financial objectives.
Recruit, hire, train team.
Moderate travel as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
2-5 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of apparel, manufacturing, labor, costing, P&L
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Accustomed to working in a rapidly changing, high growth environment.
Education / Certification Requirements:
BA / BS in Business Administration or Engineering
