About the role
As Canva’s Community Program Lead you will thrive on building relationships and engaging our wonderful community around the world. You will be responsible for the development of the overall community strategy and overseeing the execution of programs that help drive awareness, retention, and ambassadorship. You’ll be a risk-taker, embrace experimenting with new ideas, thrive in ambiguity, and love big challenges. Above all, you’ll love building inclusive communities and understand the key role they play in driving advocacy and scaling a global brand.
What you'll do

Build out and scale our global community advocacy programs to drive awareness and affinity for the Canva brand.
Build out and scale an effective outreach strategy that ensures the growth of our existing programs internationally.
Develop and evolve reward programs that generate referrals, sign-ups and engagement with the Canva product.
Build out strategies and processes to ensure our community has access to relevant tools and training to continually learn and grow.
Work cross-functionally to structure a series of training modules for our community.
Implement a measurement process that tracks the success of our community programs.
Coach community managers with a focus on empowering them to grow and develop their skills.
Who you'll be

7+ years experience managing and scaling large online communities. Past work with a global brand is a plus.
Passion for building welcoming and inclusive communities.
Working knowledge of how to build strategic community programs and scale them globally.
A strategic thinker who can deliver from plan through to execution.
Strong at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects.
Ability to manage and build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
A love for data and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
A self-starter with tenacity for execution and delivery.
